Unable to create optional feature region

In which Wildbook did the issue occur? Manta Matcher

What operating system were you using? (eg. MacOS 10.15.3) MacOS 10.15.7

What web browser were you using? (eg. Chrome 79) Chrome 96

What is your role on the site? (admin, researcher, etc) Admin

What happened? When I clicked “create optional feature region”, the page that pops up seems to be frozen. Clicking “save as candidate region” also freezes the page.

What did you expect to happen? Green box to appear on the original image and feature region to the right.

What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue? Upload an encounter with image and create optional feature region.

We could not reproduce this. We tried saving a pattern from that link in Windows/Chrome and Mac/Chrome and had no issues. The save process does take 5-10 seconds as it coordinates the new annotation creation with Wildbook and the backend machine learning server. We even tried on Windows/Firefox and has no issue.

Can you try with a different browser or computer? Sometimes these JavaScript-related issues can be caused by plugins or other tabs or applications using system resources for something else.

Thanks for the advice, @jason! I opened it in Safari and it worked just fine.
