Changing name and email associated with the account

What Wildbook are you working in?
Seal codex

What is the entire URL out of the browser, exactly where the error occurred?

Can you describe what the issue is you’re experiencing?
I just wanted to check that changing the email account/username of an account associated with a bulk import won’t impact the data at all. We are still matching IDs for a bulk import, but the person who created the account and used their name and work email is leaving the organization. Does changing that information disrupt the encounter data at all? Does changing the username automatically change the sightings associated with that account? There is a support thread titled “Changing the ownership of data that was submitted as bulk import from a user” that sounds like the advice was not to reassign data for security purposes.
Thanks so much!

Can you provide steps on how to reproduce what you’re experiencing?

If this is a bulk import report, send the spreadsheet to services@wildme.org with the email subject line matching your bug report

Hi @katiewold

Your org is using a single Codex account to upload your collective data, right?

If so, that situation’s a little different than the post you referenced because the user in question already left the organization and their admin wanted to change the account’s ownership.

Since your colleague is still around, they can choose to either update the account details so that the email address is to a group inbox (so multiple people can still manage the account when one person leaves), or the other members of your org can start edit collaborations with this user so that the previously uploaded data can still be managed by those users when they leave.
