In which Wildbook did the issue occur? SeadragonSearch
What operating system were you using? (eg. MacOS 10.15.3) MacOS 15.2
What web browser were you using? (eg. Chrome 79) Chrome 132
What is your role on the site? (admin, researcher, etc) admin
What happened? I’ve tried several times to merge individual VIC-1200 with VIC-1152. It just refuses!
What did you expect to happen? This to work.
What are some steps we could take to reproduce the issue? Try it for yourself. Note I do NOT want 1152 merged with 1200, but the other way around. Screen shot for reference. Also, the merge function for other individuals is working fine. its just something about these two.
Actually now its also refusing this one too
…
Can you send me the URLs to the merge pages that it won’t let you submit so I can look into this more?
no worries, here is a)

and b) I’ll have to send later as I cant seem to get any contact with wildbook right now. I’ve been having heaps of issues lately sigh.
HA! this b) one just worked now. Let me try a) again too… nope, ok looks like just a) remaining a problem… thank you!

It looks like it’s cooperating now. I saw something similar last week in Sharkbook. Not sure what’s behind it, but a combination of 1) trying again later and 2) having a different admin user try it seemed to do the trick.
ahh thank you but the merge went in the wrong direction. we needed VIC-1200 to become VIC-1152, not the other way around. Not sure how to change this now…?
Sorry! The link you gave me was to merge 1152 to 1200. I edited the Marked Individual name on its individual page, so this seadragon and its encounters should all be under VIC-1152 now.
Thank you! Good to know thats the easiest way to do that too, thank you!!!
