How was this problem solved, as I am experiencing s similar problem. There is no progression at “send to detection” stage.
Yes, Anastasia. I have already done so. Thank you
Hi @Timothy
I’ve moved your posts to their own thread since it’s related to a separate Wildbook and bulk import than thread you posted in.
It looks like detection won’t begin because you have a few raw files as media assets, which are unsupported in Wildbook. Even though there are some JPG files in there, detection can’t start if any of the files types are unsupported. Take a look at our Photography Guidelines help doc for a list of supported file types. You’ll need to:
- Use photo editing software to convert the files to a supported format
- Update the media asset name in the spreadsheet to update the name to your converted file type
- Delete this bulk import
- Upload your updated spreadsheet again
Make sure you review our Bulk Import Cheat Sheet which goes over the basics of preparing your spreadsheet for upload. There are also links to training videos in our YouTube channel and our bulk import help docs (which also includes a full list of available bulk import fields and their descriptions).
@CourtneyMarne It looks like the Standard Bulk Import template in GiraffeSpotter contains several aquatic Wildbook fields like survey.vessel
(for naming the ship an aquatic encounter was observed from) and Encounter.depth
(depth of water where an aquatic encounter was observed) that aren’t applicable to terrestrial animals like giraffes in GiraffeSpotter. I’m not sure who provided this template as a source, but do you mind if I remove the fields that aren’t meant for terrestrial Wildbooks and some that don’t appear to be in use anymore (like Encounter.submitterOrganization
)? I’ll leave the other fields alone.
